Management Development

The management development of best practice is about leadership and getting things done with less. It is about the coordination control, organisation, planning and direction of the organisations resources. It is about creating the right atmosphere and environment for the organisations' people to be motivated, to develop and realise their potential with full ownership of their actions and behaviours and results expected and outputs delivered. It is about focusing on taking decisions often with limited information and with tight time constraints: in short, managers make things happen in difficult circumstances.

Making full use of action centred learning task driven experiential learning exercises that have been carefully designed into our management development programmes to reveal the effect of style, structure, planning and a whole range of management development processes over a range of complex problems, delegates are stretched to achieve whilst under tight time constraints. Operating in real time, and in an environment full of unpredictable events, participants are made to realise that if errors are made they have to think through the consequences and take remedial action as they would in the real world i.e. they cannot write it off as an interesting but academic exercise and do it again in the hope that they get it right next time, indeed management development can, and often does, come from failing at least as much as success. The key to successful action centred learning courses is the review and feedback stages. Our action centred learning reviews connect the theory, to the practice, to the application in the work place. As a result participants have a powerful basis for learning.
