MODULE 5 +
Follow up
So far participants have conducted some organisation diagnostics, acquired much knowledge of underpinning management theory, tested theories and developed some skills by practicing in a business risk free environment.
This stage shifts attention towards how best your business could use skills acquired to develop the organisation and deliver tangible results.
This clearly is the payback for much hard work, however, what nobody can be sure about is precisely what learning needs will emerge from all the above experiences and how many detailed follow-up learning / application workshops are needed.
I It could be that some considerations might be:
- CSF's linked to strategy, style and performance improvements
- Managing organisational change (in detail)
- conduct open discussion (on the above after presentations?) to gain and share an in-depth insight into the challenges you face.
- Project Management, planning and control skills
- develop schematic corporate action plans
- Time and resource (result oriented, developmental) management
The point here is that a vehicle is needed to take learning back into the workplace.
This requires vision, business awareness and skills in managing external entities and events in addition to managing internal systems, resources, processes, procedures, and people.
It may be that after some initial follow up work to bring immediate benefit to the organisation participants will be ready for the next step - that of developing advanced Management skills.
If so then selected participants may wish to attend top up modules which could qualify them for the Certificate or Diploma in Management as awarded by the ISM.
All experiential learning programmes can be supported throughout by personal development portfolios, mentoring and help line services. |
